Zilan, the free singing
Zilan (stage name) is a singer of Extremaduran origin who has lived in Bizkaia for years. She performs occasionally in various musical fields and/or groups. She has always sung. His musical tastes are eclectic but she is more interested in folk music and World Music, with a particular interest in the popular music of the European Mediterranean and the music of the Middle East and the Maghreb.
She also sings Spanish and Latin American songs, especially from the Andean areas and Argentina.
Within the framework of her collaboration with the duo Sweet Winds, she participates in their general program of songs and ballads and in that of Songs for thinking (and acting). Occasionally she intervenes in other programs.
In addition to Spanish language, she sings in Euskera (Basque language), and some songs in Arabic, Greek, Turkish and Kurdish language. She plays different percussion instruments such as frame drums, the Argentinian bombo legüero, and more recently she is interested in the Irish bodhrán.
